The sisters who never were.

“A place where lost things go to have a chance at being found”. When we take a look at the dark world of female foeticide from the perspective of sibling relationships. What do young children make of the loss of a sibling or the chance to be one? They miss out on the possibility to form a bond that lasts a lifetime, the opportunity to protect and be protected, the opportunity to care for and be cared for, and the opportunity to love and be loved. All this is taken away due to mere social constructs. They lose a sister, and they lose the warmth and joy that comes from one.
